Why it matters
A capability layer, not another tool: every platform is an ordered primary-plus-backup backend list re-selected by live probing, so when a scraper breaks (yt-dlp was Bilibili-blocked in June 2026) the maintainers swap the backend and existing users change nothing.

Does it hold up?
Plausibly usable for the zero-config channels (web, YouTube, RSS, GitHub, Bilibili search) that work out of the box; the login-gated channels (Twitter, Reddit, Xiaohongshu, Instagram) need cookies or a browser session and carry platform-detection risk, so real-world reliability there depends on the user's setup.
