Claude Duet is a standalone proactive agent built on Claude Opus 5.5 that sends a morning brief from your connected apps, checks them every few hours, and asks approval before sending, paying, or signing anything.

A startup building operations software for dental clinics could copy Duet's approval-gated proactive agent pattern: the agent drafts appointment reminders, supply orders, and payroll previews each morning from connected calendars and accounting apps, and only acts after the owner taps approve.
