Cursor Computer Use: coding agents now drive desktop apps to test what they build
Cursor announced Computer Use on 23 October: its coding agents can now control the user's computer and drive desktop apps such as the iOS Simulator to verify the features they just built, rather than handing back untested code. Agents use it on their own when a task needs it, or when mentioned with an @-mention.
Why it matters
Closes the build-test loop inside the IDE: the same agent that writes a feature launches the app, taps through it and checks the result, turning 'it compiles' into 'it was seen working'.
What you could build with it
A mobile-app agency could add a verified-demo step to its delivery pipeline by having the coding agent build a feature, drive it in the simulator, and attach the resulting screen walkthrough to the pull request for client sign-off.
Does it hold up?
Too early to judge: evidence so far is a 21-second vendor demo of a hiking-app flow in the iOS Simulator, and no independent hands-on reports surfaced yet.
