EarWing: open-source 3D-printable AI meeting-capture device
Open-source 3D-printable ESP32 hardware device with 4 microphones for noise cancellation; transcription (Parakeet) and summarization (LFM 2.6B) run locally in the browser.
Why it matters
Meeting capture with nothing in the cloud: 4-mic beamforming hardware plus fully local transcription and summarization, private by construction.
What you could build with it
A consultancy could 3D-print a fleet of EarWings for client workshops: every session transcribed and summarized on-device with zero cloud upload, sidestepping data-residency objections in regulated industries.
Does it hold up?
Too early to judge: Show HN today; hardware needs printing and assembly before anyone can report results.
