Hallmark: Nutlope's anti-AI-slop design skill for coding agents, trending again
Hallmark is an open-source design skill for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and OpenCode that forces generated UIs through opinionated design rules: it picks a page macrostructure and theme, then runs dozens of slop gates and a fresh-context review before handing code back.
Why it matters
It attacks the recognizable look of AI-generated pages at the rules level — banning purple-gradient heroes, Inter-everywhere type and three-card grids — instead of restyling them after the fact.
What you could build with it
An indie developer shipping a landing page with a coding agent could install Hallmark so every generated page arrives with a distinct structure and theme, then run hallmark audit on existing pages for a punch list of design fixes without any edits.
Does it hold up?
Usable today with a one-command install into the major coding agents and a live showcase of 48 themes, though its value is a set of opinionated rules rather than a guarantee of good taste.
