Homestead: a framework around Claude Code
Joshua Mullet's year-long project turning Claude Code into a multi-agent personal system: walkie-talkies so agents talk to each other directly, an app that lets Claude Code read phone notifications as they arrive, per-project specialist agents, and worker+steward 'steadings' that finish work before it reaches him.

A freelancer juggling client work could adopt the Homestead pattern of specialist agents — a triage agent for notifications, a worker and a steward per project — around their own coding agent; the concrete result is client requests arriving as finished, verified deliverables with only approvals left for the human.
Does it hold up?
Too early to judge as a reusable framework — this is a personal project write-up (video + blog chapters), not a packaged product or repo, so nothing is installable yet. The concepts (agent-to-agent messaging, steward verification loops) are concrete and replicable.
