腾讯Hy翻译 (Tencent Hy Translation)
Tencent Hunyuan launched the dedicated translation app 腾讯Hy翻译 on 2026-09-24 across Chinese app stores and 12 countries/regions, built on its open-source Hy-MT2 translation models. It supports 33 languages plus five Chinese minority languages/dialects, text, voice, conversation and photo translation, and ships as an app, mini-program, browser plugin and PC client with offline mode.
Why it matters
An on-device-capable translation suite from Tencent: the 1.8B on-device model is compressed to ~440MB via AngelSlim 1.25-bit quantization for offline use, with cloud models for full quality — first major consumer product built on the Hy-MT2 family.
