mcp-cpp: a C++ SDK for MCP, tested against the official conformance suite
An MIT-licensed C++ SDK for the Model Context Protocol, with conformance reports in-tree, filling the gap left by the lack of an official C++ SDK.
Why it matters
Brings MCP clients and servers to performance-sensitive C++ codebases (embedded, games, robotics) that cannot afford a Python or JS runtime just for tool access.
What you could build with it
A robotics startup with a C++ control stack could embed this SDK to let an on-board AI planner call perception and motion tools through MCP without spawning a Python bridge, cutting latency and memory on constrained hardware.
Does it hold up?
Too early to judge: announced October 16, no stars or downstream projects yet, though the in-tree conformance reports give early confidence the protocol surface is covered.
