Neptune: open-source AI platform engineer that sets up cloud infra from code
An MCP server from the Shuttle team that sits in the IDE, analyzes a project's code (AST plus inference), and generates a transparent neptune.json infrastructure spec the developer reviews and approves before anything is applied.

Does it hold up?
Too early to judge: the team itself describes it as an early, rough beta with missing pieces and edge cases, the repo has only 15 stars and 20 commits, and public field reports beyond the launch announcement have not appeared yet. Note: neptune.dev now resolves to a domain-for-sale page (verified Oct 10), so the README's curl-based install.sh instructions are currently broken — install from the GitHub repo directly.
