At Navigate 2026, SailPoint launched Autonomous Agents - specialized AI agents that govern fleets of enterprise AI agents - plus Autonomous Identity Security Posture Management (A-ISPM), zero standing privilege with just-in-time provisioning, and kill-switch controls for agent identities.
Why it matters
79% of enterprises run AI agents in production but only 2% have identity security built to govern them; SailPoint is positioning identity as the runtime control point for the agent fleet.

An IT services team could adopt the autonomous identity posture approach to continuously scan which permissions their deployed coding and support agents hold, automatically downgrading idle privileges and cutting off agents that behave outside their role.
