WeVisOne-VL: Tencent's open 2B/4B vision model for detection, segmentation and matting
WeChat Vision (Tencent) releases Apache-2.0 WeVisOne-VL 2B and 4B weights, a VLM that handles detection, referring, counting, pointing, OCR, segmentation and alpha matting in one model, with a Gradio demo and eval pipeline.
Why it matters
A 9.6M-parameter pixel decoder produces masks and alpha mattes without SAM, and the model returns None for absent targets instead of hallucinating. Tencent reports leading results across 30+ benchmarks (self-reported). Fine-tuning code is not released yet.
